A Unique Conservation Project

In 2021, I am launching a non-profit with a mission to educate and inspire communities to protect songbirds and critters, bees and other pollinators, their flowers, and our New England countryside.

What We Do

New England Wildflower Meadows

Even the smallest wildflower meadow will provide shelter and food for many of the creatures that enrich our lives. These protected environments support hundreds of bee species, moths and butterflies, and other insects. Many birds, bats, small mammals, and amphibians also thrive on the food and shelter that a meadow ecosystem provides. We help advise schools and communities on how to establish wildflower meadows.

The Bee’s Knees
Project

Connecticut is home to over 300 species of bees. Maintaining these pollinator species is vital to the food supply and the natural environment around us. The Bee’s Knees Project strategically places and maintains honeybees and solitary bees and their homes in local gardens, urban and country farms, and public habitats where they serve to educate, spark curiosity, and inspire action to help save our bees.

Help us create wildflower-rich meadows and pastures across the Connecticut landscape.
